Merge tags are placeholders that will automatically be replaced at the time of sending the campaign email. It works in a similar way to fields in MS Word or variables in programming languages.

Available merge tags:

An example - You want to send a campaign email to all talent leads in a certain talent pool and you want it to be personalised:

Hi {{ FirstName }},
welcome to our talent pool! From now on we will send you the latest
news about our company and keep you up to date with interesting
positions that are coming up...

In this case, {{FirstName}} is a merge tag that will be replaced with the actual first name of the talent lead when the campaign email is sent.

Emails that talent leads see will look like this:

Hi Jon,
welcome to our talent pool! From now on we will send you the latest
news about our company and keep you up to date with interesting
positions that are coming up...
Hi Jane,
welcome to our talent pool! From now on we will send you the latest
news about our company and keep you up to date with interesting
positions that are coming up...

and so on.
