Invitation to Video Interview - Importing Candidates

Candidates can be invited manually or by importing a file.

To import the candidates manually, simply choose the type of invitation (Classic or Advanced) and manually enter the required data depending on the type of invitation chosen, to learn more read the article dedicated to the invitations : How to Invite candidates?

The manual invitation is recommended only in the case of invitations from single candidates or a very small list of candidates.

When you have many candidates to invite, you can choose to import a file.

You have an example of how the file must be filled to be recognized by our system, in fact when you are in the invitation page you will just click on Import and then on View Help to download the Excel template.

Be careful : you can also enter only the email address of the candidates in the reference column BUT you do not have to delete the other columns, it will be enough to leave them empty otherwise the risk is that the file will not be read correctly.

Difference between Import Excel and Import CSV

As you may have noticed you have 2 types of Imports on Visiotalent, the first in Excel format and the second in CSV format.

The difference is that CSV files are saved in text only with comma separated fields on a single column, while XLS files can contain formatted text and cell separated fields.

As for the import on our platform, it doesn’t change much from an operational point of view, in fact you can import both types of files using the Excel template we talked about above.

Simply, if you prefer to use the CSV you will need to save the created Excel file in CSV format directly from Excel which will automatically reformat the file in CSV format.

However, if there are no specific requirements to use the CSV format, it is advisable to use the Excel amount.

Be careful : If you have lists of invitations that exceed 100 candidates, it is advisable to divide the files so that they contain no more than 100 candidates per file, to avoid blockages or slowdowns of the platform at the invitation stage.
